The beauty of Letterpress printing

4 new logo designs

There was a time when logo design terrified me but now I love it, it’s probably my favourite part of design. The logo above is for a new South American Restaurant & Bar. The monkey is known as the Mico Leao (gold tamarind monkey) which is found in regions of South America and the name Armazem has significant meaning in the Brazilian culture, as the project unfolds I will write more about this.

Splash page revival

Sometimes a start-up business is not quite ready for a website. With so much to organise and plan it’s a big enough job establishing a logo. I work with many start-up business owners and often find it advantageous for them to have a ‘splash’ page or intro page on the internet. That way you can still advertise your web address on your business stationery and direct people somewhere. The splash page gives the visitor more of a feel for your brand…

Blog design – a blogging we shall go!

Yet another trend in the cyber world but I’m convinced this ones a keeper. In simple terms a blog is like an online journal so it’s a chronological list of posts or entries. I love blogs, I promote them and would be happy for everyone to have a blog! They give you and your business an internet ‘voice’. You can express all the things you love and even all the things you don’t love (if you wish). They can be creative, wonderful, communicative tools and in many cases some very ordinary folk (the likes of you and me) have found fame and fortune via blogging but let’s save that for another blog post…

New site launched today

Urban daytox is a new detox day-retreat in Barnes, London. Evie Collins the owner of Urban daytox approached me to create her brand and website for her new business. She wanted something bright (pink and green), smart and classy. This is a wordpress based site and will soon have a blog and events calendar added to it.

New blog design

Mary Anne Morgan has been a client for a few years now, interestingly enough we’ve never met as she lives in the US. We originally met through istockphoto as she is a photographer. Since then we’ve had lots of contact and I’ve loved being her designer. Her photography is gorgeous so it gave me great pleasure to design a new blog for her that reflects her personal style. Venus Clubs was the leader for highest number of site visits for August – GO Vanessa! And these sites are newbies launched in August – marilynclelandinteriors, flatwhitecafe and beafriend.
